Island Hopping

This was so serious fun and time saving activities in which you may only spent few hours in touring some nice island. We've decided to do this on our very first public holiday where it only costs RM25 per person! yay!

Our destination:

Pregnant Maiden Island--> Eagle feeding at Lion Island ----> Wet Rice Island

I know it sounds weird for all the translated name, c'mon, it is what it is.

Hopefully you can see what I imagine, the tour guide wasn't properly explaining all this... *sigh*

And our very First stop of this tour was really this pregnant maiden's stomach where she actually has a very nice lake.

Paddle boat, kayak and swimming can be done over here, and my advice, do not *ehem* DO NOT take a manual paddle boat, you will wish you could swim back to the shore especially when you ride on a gear-failure boat.

A lot of foreigner actually visited the place, where this lake is so famous that it is to believe that may make a female fertile after swim/touch/drink the water in this lake, so, any request out there? ^__^

This very cute Australian kid was trying to do some flap-flap before he actually try to jump into the lake! And surprisingly, he can swim so much better than some adult! *applause*

Second station of the trip was to eagle feeding and it's so disappointing as we do not actually get to feed the eagle, but more to some observation activities.

Unless you have a camera with 100 times optical zoom with 99 times digital zoom, you can't really possible to catch those big birds on camera.

I wish these islands will really be protected by every single person who went, as Langkawi has joined the UN Geopark Team to preserved her beauty. Well, hopefully this will still be as beautiful when next time I'm back with my kids!

o, do you recognize him?

On my offday

Finally after a week, I have my very first day off! I still remember how excited i was few days back to wait for this day! Yay!

This is something which I encountered during a small walk along the beach (well, an hour plus walk consider small walk gua)

Say what, you will always salute to those being so creative! I really likes it, and I get to saw another post ahead:

And this time, it is all distances from Langkawi to all the places! Woah! I wonder did they actually measured it or just simply created it.

Well, that's the end of Pantai Cenang! And also my very first day off.... T________________T

Curatorial Diary 03

After all the time spent with animals, might as well we have some of our own time to visit the most happening town in Langkawi-- Kuah!

It takes approximately 15 minutes from Pantai Cenang to Kuah town, following all the winding path and one thing i should remind you, please, PLEASE take your jacket with you if you're afraid of low temperature, because it is really FREEZINGLY-CHILLINGLY cold at night!

It is very convenience to get transport over here, if you're on a budget trip, a scooter a day costs you about RM25.

Well, FYI, after we both ride on it, guess the maximum speed we can sped.. TADANG! 60km/h! Imagine that...

And one thing about this, you can see typical kampung style along the way to town, and also some paddy field.

When reaching at Kuah, the very first destination of us is surely the Eagle Square (Dataran Lang). I think i spend half of my memory card just to take those gigantic bird's picture. But anyway, the scene there is so magnificent that you will never realize how great is the statue shocking your thoughts.

Isn't it like those 70's or 60's photo you see?

Yes, I'm tiny, FYI, I'm! I'm between G and K, do you see where I am?

and after that we went to take some really ki-siao picture upon my request, haha! First time here mah... anyhow also need some really memorable picturelike this:

Cute rite... Haha! I knew you will agree with me!

And after that we visited the famous Roo Tian Restaurant and the trabnslation is just simply Open Air!

Budget Budget! Due to NO-TOO-MUCH-$$$-SPEND basis, I've ordered the simple Fried Pork with Ginger and Spring Onion, which happens to be so nice!

Last station of the day~ Langkawi Parade!

Just like those shopping mall you can find in any small pekan and with the long-known Teo Shoon Huat Duty Free shop, all those alcohol were so madly cheap! Hmm, any chocolates or alcohols order? Haha!!

And that it is! The KUAH-TOWN-ONE-DAY-TOUR!

was so happy at first to see so many rare animals, but after you drank some of the aquarium water while doing suction with some feces in it, yuck! you will never like them that much!

Yes.. Nemo... AGAIN! oh I still hate that Si Diman for the SUKMA, it is really damaging the cuteness of this animal.

Don't try to act cute, I still hate your friend who poked me in Pulau Kapas

Lost world of Atlantic in UWL... hehe

Yes, get to fish the fish! haha

You can never imagine how cute are these marmosets until you've really experience them!

Stay tune, for more animals!

Curatorial Diary Day 01

Wow, I've never imagine such a beauty place Langkawi will look like. Breath taking beaches with all those magnificent view, sigh, you should come here by yourself to experience her beauty!

All the way from LCCT, and yet here we are in Langkawi!

Boon and me in the plane

I really HOPE you can see where I pointed, and FYI, this was taken so up high in sky!

Oh yes, as you can see, the plane flew by the Penang Island where using my 4 times optical zoom and 3 times digital zoom, i can finally see Penang Bridge in view. Phew~ that was really hard to hide the picture taking actions from stewardess.

And when reach the Langkawi Airport, I just can't help keep posing to get my very first picture on this lovely island.

Oh yes! Duty free island!

And yes, they have Starbucks (R) and Keny Rogers here

And yes finally we've reach our quarters a.k.a. employees hostel, and this magnificent scene comes into view! Woah! I get to watch sunset just right in front of my quarters. So relaxing and soul-healing after the hazardous final for the past month. I really couldn't imagine how i survived from all the tortures and depression from the papers.

Thank God It's langkawi!
